highlighted projects
I've worked with Education Minnesota over multiple election cycles to leverage data in support of their school referendum/levy campaign. I've also conducted multiple post-election analyses to help measure the effectiveness of the union's political outreach strategy on member turnout.
As the Minnesota Nurses Association's first ever Director of Data and Technology, I built their data infrastructure from scratch, modernizing processes and expanding the use of data in strategic campaigns. This included developing rETL pipelines, live dashboards, and creating detailed action reports. Read Action Builder's piece on my work here.
I stepped in to manage Erin Maye Quade's campaign after she made national headlines going into labor during her endorsing convention. I managed a competitive and highly visible primary campaign, making Maye Quade the second person to beat a DFL-endorsed candidate in a state legislative primary in more than a decade. Through this, I developed targeting universes which predicted likely voters with over 90% accuracy, wrote copy and designed all campaign materials, and managed a team of 8 staff to deliver a win in the general election (56.66%) and outperform the district DPI
After advocates spent a decade working to pass "Restore the Vote" legislation in MN, I worked with Minnesota Voice to identify, clean, and match data sources and implement large-scale programming to reach the more than 30,000 Minnesotans on felony probation or parole who regained their right to vote.
